(Worthy News) - As Christians in Nigeria continue to be slaughtered by Fulani and other Muslim extremist militants, the controversial governor of Kaduna state Nasir El-Rufai has been forced to admit that Islamic terrorists have an even stronger hold on his part of Nigeria than when he took office seven years ago, International Christian Concern (ICC) reports.
Writing to Nigeria’s Fulani president Muhammadu Buhari earlier this year, fellow Fulani El-Rufai said an al-Qaeda affiliated terror group called Ansaru has taken control of the Birnin Gwari area of northwestern Kaduna State, ICC reports. According to El-Rufai, Ansaru is now running a parallel government which state officials are powerless to deal with.
El-Rufai’s admission is noteworthy as Nigerian government officials have done next to nothing to stop the ongoing 12-year-long slaughter of Christians and other civilians by Islamic terrorists.
Himelf a Fulani, El-Rufai has been personally overtly hostile to Christians, accusing them in 2014 of funding and controlling the Boko Haram terror group, “to tarnish the name of Islam.” He particularly accused the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and orchestrated specific church bombings and shootings.
El-Rufai also warned against challenging the Fulani, a Muslim ethnic group which is largely entirely peaeceful but from among which have emerged radicalized militants who have murdered tens of thousands of Christians. When he became governor in 2015, El-Rufai said: “The Fulani have nothing to fear since a Fulani [is] now governor of the state.”
