(Worthy News) - Islamic State jihadists have given Christians living in Qaryatain, Syria, just 48 hours to decide whether they will convert to Islam, pay the jizya tax, or be forced to leave town.
According to Barnabas Aid, IS jihadists have confiscated the Christians' identity documents until they choose a course of action. But many have already decided to leave Qaryatain and are anxiously waiting to get their papers back.
An estimated 260 Christians were kidnapped by IS just hours after it captured Qaryatain; more than 100 have since been taken to Raqqa, which serves as the de facto capital of the IS caliphate.
