Another Bible Translator has been murdered in Cameroon

The Wycliffe Bible Translators (WBT) charity has announced that another Bible translator in Cameroon has been murdered following an attack in his village, Assist News reported Monday. Pastor Christopher Tanjoh, a Bible translator and literacy teacher with the Moghamo Bible translation and literacy project, was murdered on August 7, WBT said in a statement. Two other translators were killed in Cameroon last year.

China's Government 'Bans Believing in God' Amid Church Crackdown

China's Communist leadership has ordered devoted Christians not to believe in God, well-informed activists, and local believers say. "Attacks on house churches have intensified across China. Police and government officials raid places of worship and intimidate congregations," added Shen Xiang, who writes for Bitter Winter, a respected religious rights magazine on China.

Christians arrested in Iran

At least 12 Christians are understood to have been arrested by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard (IRG) in what is believed to have been a coordinated round-up last week, the Christian Post reports. Announced by Article 18, a UK-based human rights non-profit organization, the arrests were said to have taken place in the cities of Tehran, Karaj and Malayer on June 30 and July 1.
