Uganda: Islamists decapitate Christian who led Muslims to Jesus, leave his head in a swamp

A 60-year-old Ugandan evangelist was decapitated by suspected Islamic extremists in Luuka District, Uganda on October 16, Morning Star News (MSN) reports. An elder in the local Church of Christ congregation, Alex Mukasa of Busandha B village, Bukoova Town council in Luuka District had led three Muslims to Christ prior to his murder.

India: Christians imprisoned in Uttar Pradesh after attack by Hindu radicals

Seven Christians in India’s Uttar Pradesh state were jailed last month after a mob of Hindu extremists violently attacked their church and accused them of forcing Hindus to convert to Christianity, International Christian Concern (ICC) reports. India ranks 10 on the 2021 US Open Doors Watch List of top 50 countries where Christians are persecuted.

China: Wife of pastor sentenced to nine years is finally allowed to visit him

The wife of incarcerated Chinese pastor Wang Yi has been able to visit him for the first time since 2018, when China’s ruling Communist Party sentenced him to nine years in jail for leading the underground Early Rain Church, China Aid reports. Jiang Rong was allowed to see her husband while she herself continues to be placed in de facto house arrest by the government.

U.S. Official States Some of 17 Missionaries Kidnapped in Haiti Still Alive

A senior government official saw proof that at least some of the 17 Christian Aid Ministries missionaries who were kidnapped in Haiti last month are still alive, Reuters reported on November 5. Christian Aid Ministries is calling for continued prayer for the safe release of 16 Americans and one Canadian, including five children, who were abducted by the 400 Mawozo gang on October 16.
