KHARTOUM (Worthy News)-- Officials in Khartoum are currently negotiating to allow a Sudanese woman who was just spared the death penalty to finally leave Sudan behind, according to Jihad Watch.

Mariam Yahya Ibrahim was detained at Khartoum airport Tuesday, just one day after an appeals court overturned a death sentence imposed on her for supposedly leaving Islam to marry her Christian husband.

Mohaned Mostafa, her lawyer, said Ibrahim and her entire family have been staying at the U.S. embassy in Khartoum since her conditional release requiring Ibrahim to remain in Sudan.
