India: Christians jailed on false charges

Four Christians in India’s Madhya Pradesh state have been jailed on false charges of trying to forcibly convert Hindus to faith in Jesus Christ, International Christian Concern (ICC) reports. Anti-conversion laws in numerous Indian states are increasingly abused by Hindu nationalist extremists to imprison, assault, murder, and displace Christians in the country.

Uganda: Evangelist violently attacked by Muslim extremist relatives

Christian evangelist Malingumu Bruhan was violently attacked and nearly burned to death in Nawaikoke, Uganda earlier this month by Muslim relatives who accused him of being an infidel, Morning Star News (MSN) reports. Christianity is legal in Uganda but believers have come under increasing attack by minority Muslim extremists, particularly in the eastern part of the country.

Nigeria: Christian leader hacked to death by Islamic extremists, one murder among thousands

Among nearly 4,000 Christians murdered by Islamic jihadists in Nigeria last year was Reverend Shuaibu Yohanna, who was hacked to death in September in the northeastern state of Kano, International Christian Concern (ICC) reported on Saturday. Nigeria ranked number one in the world last year for the number of Christians murdered on account of their faith.
